 Virtual Tour of the Army museum of South Australia


Peter joined the Citizen Military Force, (CMF), now known as the Army Reserve in 1970, as a trooper in the 3rd/9th South Australian Mounted Rifles, (now 3rd/9th Light Horse, SAMR) which was an armoured cavalry regiment.

Peter served until 1978, finishing as an Assault Section Commander. He has been with Army museum of South Australia (AMOSA) since 2020 as a volunteer archivist, especially concerned with collating the historical records and artifacts of the South Australian Mounted Rifles Association, (SAMRA).

Peter has been a military historian for as long as he can remember and his principal interest is the Australian Army during the 1960s and 70s. Other hobbies include jewelry making and doting on grandchildren.

During the year the Rotary Club of Adelaide engages in a number of projects and events to; raise money, deliver goodwill, do good things in a local or international community and generally assist in our world.
Cooking breakfast at the Hutt Street Centre, delivering furniture or vouchers for those in need, raising money through our Trailblazer by the Sea TM event, working on aid projects in the Phillipines, helping young people develop an interest in Science and Technology, being a marshal at the annual Christmas Pageant and more!
