Compassionate Volunteering: Healing Tiny Hearts in Developing Nations through Biomedical Engineering, Music, and Teaching

Greg is a biomedical engineer whose volunteer work in Vietnam has been fueled by a love for the country and of course, his love for Vietnamese War orphan and RCA member, Kim. His association with the Vietnamese health sector began almost a decade ago and has continued to this day.

Together with Kim and their two children, they regularly travel to Vietnam to volunteer at a school for Vision Impaired as well as the Danang Women’s and Children’s hospital. With over 10 trips to Vietnam, Greg has devoted weeks of annual leave to diagnosing equipment faults and training staff at this hospital and equally, Kim has volunteered teaching at the school for blind children.
Greg and Kim look forward to sharing some of their stories of their work in Vietnam as well as their time in the Pacific at hospitals and animal shelters.
