Celebrate a century of service with us

Watch this short video to hear about our major centenary events and projects.

The Rotary Club of Adelaide is turning 100. That means 100 years of Rotary in South Australia – something for all South Australian Rotarians to celebrate!

The Rotary Club of Adelaide has a proud history of doing good work in communities locally and internationally. Over our 100 year journey we have sponsored more than 100 Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Clubs. It’s time to now reflect, celebrate and blast into the next 100 years of collective impact.
Our centenary is a unique opportunity for all Rotarians in South Australia to do what we do best, and that’s to be people of action, working together to create a better place for our community and the world, through purpose, fellowship and fun. We will do this by remaining true to our values of service, integrity, diversity, fellowship and leadership.
We are ready to create a lasting legacy for our future generations.

Planning for our major celebratory events and projects are underway. These events and projects that address real needs in our community have been endorsed by the Rotary Club of Adelaide and Rotary District 9510.
We are honoured to have as Patron, Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia.
The dates are set, the service projects are underway!
Let’s do this together, because as people of action we know that together we’ll achieve more than we ever will alone.

Building a Chronic Disease Prevention Agenda with Aboriginal People

 Photo 1

This centenary legacy project will provide an opportunity for two Aboriginal health scholars to complete PhD Awards over three and a half years from April 2023. Each scholarship costs about $250,000 and will be supported and funded by the Rotary Club of Adelaide, Rotary District 9510 and Australian Rotary Health from donations and sponsorship.

The scholars will be supervised in the School of Public Health at The University of Adelaide in partnership with the Aboriginal Health Equity Team at the South Australian Medical Research Institute (SAMRI). The candidates will research a culturally appropriate model with Aboriginal Communities for the Prevention and Management of Chronic Disease.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for this significant legacy project. Contact us to find out more.

100 Peace Poles for 100 Years of Rotary in SA

Photo 2We are distributing 100 Peace Poles in recognition of the 100 years of Rotary in South Australia.

Peace poles are a universal symbol of peace, with over 300,000 peace poles located in over 200 countries around the world. They are placed in the earth and stand as a silent vigil as a reminder of the importance of peace in our hearts, homes and in communities.

Each pole will be delivered complete and will be numbered from 1 to 100.

Schools, individuals, Rotary Clubs, community organisations and businesses are invited to help spread the message of peace across our state and throughout the world by sponsoring a peace pole.

Please contact us for more information about how to get involved.
