Friday - Renmark
Check in to your Renmark Hotel Motel with your choice of Riverview ground floor or first floor balcony rooms overlooking the River (Early bird discounted room rates from $110 per day)
That evening, enjoy a genuine Greek Banquet at Elenis at Mallee Estate (pita bread, dips, olives, chicken souvlakia, loukanika, kefte, spanakopita, Greek salad, lemon patates and dessert platters of baklava and loukamathes)
Saturday Morning – Tree Planting at Calperum Station
After breakfast we take the bus to Calperum Station which is a 20-minute drive away from Renmark, to plant trees as part of Rotary’s initiative to make a difference by planting 1.2 million trees globally.
BBQ lunch provided by Renmark Rotary Club at Calperum Station.
Saturday Afternoon – Wilkadene Woolshed Brewery
We then continue on the bus to Wilkadene located on a picturesque backwater of the Murray River for a guided tour of the Woolshed Brewery.
The tour includes tasting of hand crafted boutique beers produced in an environmentally manner using rain water and power from Wilkadene’s solar farm. After the tour we are dropped off at our motel around 4.30 pm.
Saturday Evening – Renmark Club River’s Edge Function Centre
This is a combined dinner function with the Renmark Rotary Club. The Function Centre is located by the Murray diagonally across from the Renmark Hotel Motel, a 2-minute stroll away. The Function Centre has breathtaking views of the water and there is access to the decking overlooking the River.
We are delighted to welcome Neil Andrew who is Chairman of the Murray Darling Authority as the evening’s guest speaker.
Dinner will be a choice of 2 dishes for alternate drop (e.g. Roasted Black Angus Fillet or Lemon Myrtle and Almond Crusted Australian Barramundi etc.) plus choice of dessert of lime and vanilla bean panacotta, hazelnut brownie with ice cream, cheese plate etc.)
Entertainment will be provided by exciting local light jazz duo Glenn (guitar) and Richard (flute, clarinet and saxophone).
Sunday - Fun Options - Golf, visit Ruston's Roses, car museum, Banrock Station lunch and return to Adelaide
Morning golf at the Renmark Golf Club (contact David Motteram)
Visit Ruston’s Roses the home of the national rose collection of Australia with over 3000 varieties of roses, some of which do not exist anywhere else in the world. Devonshire tea and presentation of the garden including its history and the new direction of the business including the production of rose petals for Vodka production and the making of rose food products. Visit the small car museum on site.
On the way back to Adelaide, have lunch at Banrock Station Wine and Wetlands Centre situated at Kingston on the Murray. Take a walk through the restored wetlands; embrace the natural landscape with native animals and an array of birdlife on one of the four self- guided interpretive walking trails with information huts and bird viewing hides.

Includes Friday night Greek banquet; bus transport to Calperum Station, Wilkadene and back to Renmark; tree planting; BBQ lunch; guided Wilkadene Tour with beer tasting; and Saturday night two course dinner. The cost excludes accommodation and pay-as-you go drinks and Sunday activities.
